I was just over at the corner of St. Charles and Victoria where all of Victoria, Murray and St. Charles are cordoned off by Police, Longueuil investigators and the Swat team. The first story I heard was that a gunman took a shot at a city paving truck, I now believe this story to be false but it does appear that a gunman is held up in a home in the vicinity.
Traffic is not allowed to pass and spectators have been pushed back a few blocks as the police attempt to sort out fact from fiction. The best story we have at present is that a witness saw a man come out of his house brandishing a rifle, waved it around and returned into the house. The police are attempting to discover if this is what occurred and if so find a resolution. Below are some photos that I took about 15 minutes ago. Let’s hope that this all gets resolved quickly and peacefully.
